Bayern won't make Jackson transfer permanent with striker set for Blues return
Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea this summer after Bayern Munich confirmed they will not make his move permanent.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl told German broadcaster ZDF that the club will not activate the permanent transfer clause in his deal.
The striker remains under long-term contract at Chelsea until 2033, having signed a two-year extension just 18 months ago.
Jackson is now expected to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with a decision on his long-term future likely to be made over the summer.
Chelsea signed Liam Delap last summer as a replacement for the Senegal international - he’s scored just one league goal so far this season.
